At the beginning of November, Handelsblatt published its special "Trendreport" supplement to explore the future challenges faced by the real estate industry. The CEO of IC Immobilien Gruppe, Markus Reinert, explained that, above all, real estate being developed now and in future will need to be flexible. And flexibility, he clarified, is all about accommodating a variety of uses, both in parallel and successively, without high costs for repurposing measures. In addition, Reinert stressed that digitalisation across the industry will facilitate work processes, but it will never be able to replace human workers.
