IC Property Management awarded sustainability certification DIN ISO 14001 by TÜV Nord
IC Property Management GmbH successfully certified for three years with respect to sustainability and quality management
IC Property Management GmbH is pleased to announce two certifications: Firstly, the DIN ISO 9001 certification for quality management – which had already been awarded in 2017 – was extended for a further three years in the framework of the regular re-certification audit. Secondly, the team of experts from TÜV NORD endorsed the company’s successful initial certification to DIN ISO 14001 for its sustainability management.
In the framework of the sustainability certification TÜV NORD conducted several inspections of the office premises of IC Immobilien Gruppe, including those in Frankfurt, Berlin and Chemnitz. A broad range of criteria covering various aspects of sustainability in day-to-day business operations was audited. Thus, for instance, certified companies have to lay down transparent and quantifiable targets for the improvement of their own sustainability performance, as well as gathering and consistently optimising the relevant data for this. This process encompasses measures regarding energy consumption, waste management, digital (paper-free) offices, business trips and the vehicle fleet, for example, as well as social factors such as occupational safety, health management, corporate benefits, employee satisfaction, and much more.
In particular the TÜV auditors highlighted the broad diversity of the Sustainability Management Team with its comprehensive consulting approaches for the operational customer business. Those services which explicitly concern sustainability include, among others, potential analyses, energy management and ESG due diligence. To this end IC Immobilien Gruppe utilises software specifically tailored to the technical property management, which also allows access for external service providers so as to collect accurate consumption data. On the basis of this efficient data management it is possible to attain demonstrable performance optimisation.
“We are extremely pleased that our holistic endeavours in the field of sustainability have been acknowledged with this certification. Naturally, as a company we have not yet reached our final destination. Successful ISO 14001 certification is only one of the first steps on the path to sustainable corporate management. Sustainability not only plays a decisive role in the framework of our various offerings as a full-service provider in the real estate sector, but also with a view to our corporate values. I would like to thank all the colleagues for joining us in moving along this path,” says Marco Helbig, Head of Sustainability Management.
