IC announces leasing successes at Berlin’s “TheQ.”
- Contipark Parkgaragen leases 232 parking spaces
- Law firm Noerr ups lease to 5,300 sqm
Unterschleißheim near Munich, October, 8th 2012 – The IC Immobilien Gruppe can report two leasing successes at the shopping and business centre “TheQ.” in Berlin’s Friedrichstrasse. The underground car park oper-ator Contipark Parkgaragen has signed a ten-year lease for all 232 of the building’s parking spaces with an option of renewal. Contipark is a subsidiary of the Belgian Interparking Group, one of the largest car park operators in Europe, and already owns over 100,000 spaces in 400 German and Aus-trian parking facilities. What’s more, the internationally active commercial law firm Noerr has now upped its lease by a further 900 square metres of office space, taking the total to over 5,300 sqm. Formerly known as Quartier 205, the site has been administered by IC’s property management division since 2007. In cooperation with the owners, and with a new concept, it is now being repositioned under the brand name “TheQ.” as a shopping and business quarter with a relaxing ambience. The property comprises a total rentable space of 50,000 sqm, including approx. 17,000 sqm for shopping outlets.
